Black Romance Book Fest Terms and Conditions

Welcome to the Black Romance Book Fest, hosted by Black Romance Book Fest, LLC and Lauren Lacey. These Terms and Conditions govern your participation in the Event. By registering for or attending the Event, you agree to comply with these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Registration and Payment

1.1 Eligibility: The Event is open to individuals aged 18 and above. Minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian.

1.2 Registration: To attend the Event, you must complete the registration process through our official website and pay the applicable registration fee. Registration is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment.

1.3 Payment: All payments must be made via the payment methods specified on the registration page. Registration fees are non-refundable except as outlined in Section 5 (Cancellations and Refunds).

2. Event Conduct

2.1 Code of Conduct: Attendees are expected to behave professionally and respectfully towards others. Harassment, discrimination, or any form of inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.

2.2 Compliance with Laws: Attendees must comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws while participating in the Event.

2.3 Prohibited Activities: The following activities are prohibited during the Event:

Unauthorized solicitation or distribution of promotional materials

Disruptive or unsafe behavior
Unauthorized audio or video recording of sessions

3. Event Content and Schedule

3.1 Program Changes: The Organizer reserves the right to make changes to the Event schedule, content, and speakers without prior notice.

3.2 Recordings: The Organizer may record Event sessions and activities. By attending the Event, you consent to being recorded and grant the Organizer the right to use these recordings for promotional purposes.

4. Privacy and Data Protection

4.1 Data Collection: The Organizer collects and processes personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. This includes information provided during registration and participation in the Event.

4.2 Data Use: Your personal data will be used to facilitate your participation in the Event, provide updates, and improve our services. We may share your information with third-party service providers as necessary for Event operations.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

5.1 Attendee Cancellations: If you need to cancel your registration, please notify us in writing. Cancellations received before March 1, 2025 will be eligible for a refund. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after this date.

5.2 Event Cancellations: In the unlikely event that the Organizer cancels the Event, registered attendees will receive a full refund of the registration fee. The Organizer is not responsible for any other costs incurred by attendees (e.g., travel, accommodation).

6. Liability and Indemnification

6.1 Limitation of Liability: The Organizer is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your participation in the Event.

6.2 Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Organizer, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising out of your participation in the Event.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Content Ownership: All content presented at the Event, including but not limited to presentations, materials, and recordings, is the property of the Organizer or its respective owners.

7.2 Use of Content: Attendees may not reproduce, distribute, or use Event content for commercial purposes without the prior written consent of the Organizer.

8. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

8.1 Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of [Your State], without regard to its conflict of law principles.
